Hyperledger Solang
Hyperledger Solang is seeking Stellar Public Goods funding to mature its Solidity compiler for Soroban from beta to production. The proposal requests $20K XLM to detangle the codebase, complete feature parity with Soroban examples, improve error reporting, and build a property-based fuzzer to validate compiler correctness against Ethereum's Solidity reference.
Solang has shipped a Solidity-to-Soroban compiler with ~20 monthly active users, two completed or in-progress Linux Foundation mentorships, and Soroban examples (Atomic Swap, Liquidity Pool, Timelock) already compilable in Solidity. The proposal targets production readiness through codebase refactoring to isolate target-specific logic, updated documentation, better compiler error messages for unsupported features, support for remaining Soroban examples, and a property-based fuzzer that compares Solang-on-Stellar behavior against Solidity-on-Ethereum. This effort lowers onboarding friction for EVM developers and generates comparative insights about where Solang and Rust SDK approaches perform best for different use cases.
