Set Backstop Take Rate To Zero
YieldBlox proposes setting the backstop take rate to zero following an exploit on the Comet pool. The change routes accumulated interest directly to lenders and borrowers instead of the backstop. Only the backstop_take_rate parameter is modified; other pool settings remain unchanged.
YieldBlox has submitted a governance proposal to address interest accrual issues stemming from an exploit on the Comet pool. The exploit prevented proper execution of interest auctions, causing all accrued interest to accumulate without being captured. By setting the backstop take rate to zero, accumulated interest will be distributed directly to pool lenders and borrowers rather than being routed to the backstop. The proposal modifies only the backstop_take_rate parameter in the update_pool call; the max_positions and min_collateral settings remain unchanged. This targeted adjustment resolves the interest capture mechanism without broader protocol modifications.
