The Argentina Builder Challenge completed its two-week virtual hackathon (September 12-27), showcasing 44 developers building 20 projects across two tracks: Genesis for new builders with fresh ideas and Scale for existing projects being refined. Participants joined from Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Costa Rica—four countries represented in a single regional event. The jury evaluated projects on technical implementation, business viability, and architectural design. Honorable mentions went to Cabos (wallet integration for apps), Lumina (smart contract-based financing for health and education services), and E4C (digital badges on Stellar recognizing student achievement and attendance, already piloting with 100+ students in Buenos Aires). Third-place winner Changuito presented an AI shopping agent that compares prices, builds shopping carts, and processes USDC payments via Stellar smart contracts with buyer protection. First and second place were announced during the live broadcast.
