Jane, product manager for developer experience at SDF, and Chad, founder of Aha Labs, discuss the challenges Web3 developers face and introduce Scaffold Stellar, a new tool designed to streamline developer onboarding on Stellar. Chad explains how Stellar's on-chain contract specs enable better tooling than other blockchains. Inspired by Scaffold ETH, Scaffold Stellar aims to be more like Ruby on Rails, serving as both a learning tool and a starting point for production apps. Aha Labs is building the implementation, with an early version featuring a basic frontend and contract tooling available by end of May 2025, and the full feature set completed before Meridian 2025. The tool will include a contract explorer and support for customization as developers grow.
