Originally built for Stellar Aid Assist during the Ukraine crisis, the platform is now use case, asset, and geography agnostic. It addresses challenges in traditional payment systems by offering speed, transparency, and accessibility for people excluded from formal financial systems. The platform is open-source as of August 2023 and fully operational. SDF provides implementation support for governments, aid agencies, and businesses while maintaining that organizations retain complete control over their data and programs. The team welcomes developer contributions and feedback from organizations using bulk payment systems.
