OpenZeppelin announces a two-year partnership with Stellar to improve developer experience through Soroban contract libraries, the OpenZeppelin Wizard for Stellar, and developer tooling including relayers, monitors, and code analysis.
OpenZeppelin, a leading blockchain security and smart contract development firm, has partnered with Stellar for two years to enhance developer experience on the Stellar ecosystem. The partnership includes developing a full Soroban contracts library with flagship standards like fungible tokens (ERC-20 equivalent) and non-fungible tokens (ERC-721 equivalent), tailored for Stellar. OpenZeppelin has released the fungible token standard with extensions for minting, burning, and pausable functionality. The OpenZeppelin Wizard for Stellar is now live at wizard.openzeppelin.com/stellar, allowing developers to generate Soroban contracts in seconds through an interactive interface. Additional tooling being developed includes Code Dispector for code analysis, relayers for gasless meta-transactions, monitors for automation workflows, and deployment tools. All releases undergo internal security audits by OpenZeppelin's audit team. The partnership aims to make development on Stellar easy, fast, and secure.
