Stellar Development Foundation Q4 2023 quarterly review covering 92 million payments processed, $1.3B in asset transaction volume, Soroban protocol 20 upgrade timeline (now targeting February 20), 100% project type representation in Soroban MVE, and 2024 roadmap focused on everyday financial services.
SDF held its Q4 2023 quarterly call reviewing major achievements: 92 million payments, $1.3B relevant asset volume, $4M SCF awards to 88 projects, and reaching 100% project type coverage in Soroban's minimum viable ecosystem. Soroban mainnet launch delayed to February 20 due to a bug in StellarCore v20.1.0 affecting fee-bump sponsored transactions; StellarCore 20.2 RC releases February 2 with testnet reset February 6. The network now has 7.8M accounts and 14B+ total operations. Tokenization reached $340M in institutional funds (Franklin Templeton, WisdomTree, BitBond, ABM Amro). SDF invested $7M across seven companies in Africa, Latin America, Caribbean, and Asia. Stellar Aid Assist dispersed $2M via UNHCR to Ukraine. 2024 roadmap centers on three North Stars: open participation and governance, prioritizing everyday financial services, and building trustworthy technology.
