The Stellar Journey to Mastery program wrapped its initial 6-month run with a demo day showcasing 10+ builders who shipped live products to mainnet. The belt-based progression system, which scaled from 5,000 applicants to 4,849 active participants across 32 countries, proved extended support produces shipped goods—not abandoned hackathon projects.
The Stellar Journey to Mastery completed six monthly cohorts (February through August 2026) with a demo day featuring builders shipping DeFi agents, wallets, and platform tools to mainnet. The program used a 7-level belt system (white through black belt) to encourage long-term development over the typical one-weekend hackathon cycle. Participation grew significantly: 4,849 participants from 32 countries submitted 7,882 projects across all levels, with India leading at 56.8%. A demo featured Agentic Ocean, a portfolio rebalancing platform from Small Binary team, exemplifying the shift from learning to production. Several graduating projects advanced to the Stellar Community Fund for expanded development.
