Lumen Loop's take

SEI Lab brought Family Haven to the APAC Hackathon to solve the $7 billion problem of elderly people losing access to crypto assets due to lost keys and manipulation. The four-person team—product lead Kai, technical lead Guang Huy, UX designer Hoang Anh, and finance engineer Huy Minh—built a non-custodial family wallet on Soroban combining three layers: everyday payments, guardian-based protection against fraud, and social recovery for inheritance and asset continuity. The product shipped live on testnet with five verified smart contracts during the hackathon itself, a working implementation that distinguished it from typical paper proposals and impressed judges. They won third prize in the consumer and application track. Looking ahead, the team plans to implement on-chain guardian consent mechanisms to complete the full inheritance and long-term financial planning model for families.
