Danelle Dixon, SDF CEO, showcased how Stellar-built companies are solving real-world financial inclusion problems across Africa, Latin America, and the US-Mexico border through remittances, cross-border payments, and access to global markets.
At Meridian 2020, Stellar Development Foundation CEO Danelle Dixon highlighted the ecosystem's impact on global financial inclusion. She presented case studies of Stellar-based projects addressing underserved markets: Uhuru Wallet and Leaf Global in Africa enabling affordable remittances and refugee financial services; Kauri in Nigeria facilitating cross-border trade; Clickpesa in Tanzania supporting inter-African B2B payments; Finclusive and Saldo at the US-Mexico border reducing cash dependency for migrant workers; Vibrant in Argentina providing dollar-backed tokens; Settle enabling LATAM cross-border settlement; and D-Stock making investment accessible in emerging markets. Dixon emphasized how Stellar's network interconnects regional systems while allowing local companies to solve community-specific problems, advancing equitable access to global finance.
