Zebec and AllUnity launched Europe's first onchain employee benefits program in Germany, using the EURAU regulated digital euro on Stellar. The program automates recurring benefit payments, reduces administration, and gives employers real-time visibility while complying with German tax rules for non-cash employee benefits.
Zebec and AllUnity brought online Europe's first government-defined employee benefits program using blockchain infrastructure in Germany. The program uses EURAU, AllUnity's regulated digital euro stablecoin, to distribute benefits through Zebec's platform. Employers fund benefits directly, employees receive benefits into digital wallets, payroll fees settle in Zebec's token (ZBCN), and gas fees pay in XLM. The deployment leverages existing German tax rules that permit non-cash employee benefits with favorable treatment when specific conditions are met. Rather than replacing the existing benefits system, the onchain version delivers the same benefits faster and with better employer visibility. The infrastructure could support wider benefit payment expansions across Europe.
