The Stellar Development Foundation announced a $5 million investment in Wyre as part of a Series B2 funding round, with additional backing from Draper Associates and Great Oaks Venture Capital contributing $2.5 million. The investment aims to strengthen Stellar's fintech payment API capabilities and expand its network of anchors and stablecoin issuers. By integrating Wyre's payment APIs, Stellar plans to broaden USDC on/off ramps with support for multiple currency pairs including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, and AUD. CEO Denelle Dixon emphasized that growing Stellar's anchor network is fundamental to connecting global financial systems with blockchain technology.
