The Stellar Development Foundation has established a Market Development team with senior regional leaders to drive institutional adoption across key markets. Federico Gomez Schumacher leads Latin America, Cláudia Antunes focuses on Brazil, Juan Lopez Carretero heads Europe, Kwame Oppong advises on Africa, Faraj Abutalibov covers the Middle East, and Betty Sun-Lucas leads APAC. Each leader brings deep experience in payments, fintech, banking, and regulatory frameworks specific to their regions. The strategy recognizes that adoption requires local presence and market knowledge, not global campaigns, to win trust from banks, payment processors, asset issuers, and developers building on Stellar.
