Lumen Loop's take

Circle and the Stellar Development Foundation announced the launch of EURC, a euro-backed stablecoin maintaining a 1:1 peg with the euro, on the Stellar blockchain. This marks Stellar as the third network supporting EURC alongside Ethereum and Avalanche. The partnership aims to advance financial inclusion through mobile-first, low-cost payments and near-instant settlement. EURC on Stellar will integrate with Stellar Aid Assist for humanitarian relief distribution and support European remittance corridors and cross-border payments. Ripio, a Latin American crypto platform, will be the first to list EURC on Stellar in its in-app wallet, signaling expansion into European markets.
