Coinbase submitted CFTC filings to list futures products for five tokens—Polkadot, Shiba Inu, Stellar Lumens, Avalanche, and Chainlink—with trading slated to begin on or after July 15. The expansion aims to give traders more access points for risk management and price speculation.

Crypto exchange Coinbase filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to list futures products for five altcoins: Polkadot (DOT), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Stellar Lumens (XLM), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK), with trading scheduled for on or after July 15. Coinbase said the expansion gives participants and their clients more access to manage risk, speculate on price movements, and participate in the cryptoeconomy with reduced upfront capital. Of the five tokens, Avalanche has the largest market capitalization at $11.1 billion, while Shiba Inu came second at $10.1 billion. The expansion diversifies Coinbase's derivatives product suite and aims to enhance overall trading experience for users.
