Taurus, a digital asset infrastructure provider serving major financial institutions, has expanded its custody and tokenization platforms to the Stellar network, joining other major players like Franklin Templeton, WisdomTree, and Circle in leveraging Stellar for real-world asset tokenization.

Swiss fintech firm Taurus has launched its PROTECT custody platform and CAPITAL tokenization platform on Stellar's blockchain, enabling banks and issuers to issue and manage tokenized assets with customizable payment flows and banking-grade controls. The move positions Stellar as a key infrastructure for real-world asset tokenization alongside established players like Franklin Templeton (BENJI token with $357.7M AUM), WisdomTree Prime (operating in 41 states), and Circle (USDC and EURC stablecoins). Taurus now supports over 20 blockchains through its custody product and previously offered tokenization on Ethereum and Tezos. The integration aligns with Stellar's optimization for asset tokenization and supports use cases including equities, debt, structured products, funds, tokenized deposits, and CBDCs. Stellar Development Foundation Senior Director Roberto Durscki highlighted the significance for regulated financial institutions adopting tokenized real-world assets.
