Normal Finance, a non-custodial on-chain investing protocol built on Stellar, announced a strategic investment from DraperU Ventures, the venture arm of Draper University. The partnership originated at the Stellar Astro Hacker House 2024 in Silicon Valley, where co-founders Joshua Blew and Justin Benjamin were selected among 50 founders to build on Stellar. Normal launched in January 2026 following a security audit by Halborn and enables investors to gain exposure to cryptocurrencies, real world assets (RWAs), and index-like baskets directly from their crypto wallets while maintaining full control of their keys. The investment represents backing from the legendary Draper family, known for pioneering modern venture capital and backing companies like Hotmail, Skype, Tesla, and SpaceX. Normal is now seeking additional aligned investors at a $4M valuation to expand its offerings and bring secure, self-sovereign decentralized investing to a global audience.
