Lund spearheaded IBM's World Wire platform, which leveraged the Stellar blockchain to help banks streamline cross-border payments. The platform connected six major banks including RCBC, Banco Bradesco, and Bank Busan across 72 countries with 48 currencies and 46 banking endpoints. Prior to IBM, Lund served as a senior vice president at Wells Fargo and was part of R3's executive steering committee. Despite his departure, Stellar co-founder Jed McCaleb stated the partnership remains on track, saying they are 'still full steam ahead with World Wire.'
