Nodle, an IoT platform that processed ~1M daily microtransactions on Stellar, is migrating to Polkadot's Substrate network to build its own blockchain called Arcadia. The team cited need for custom blockchain functions beyond Stellar's capabilities, though plans a future bridge between the networks.

Nodle, a 2017-launched IoT platform providing last-mile connectivity for smart devices via smartphones, announced it is leaving the Stellar blockchain for Parity Technologies' Substrate network to build its own chain, Arcadia. The migration follows Nodle's growth to approximately 1 million daily microtransactions on Stellar, which the team determined lacked necessary blockchain functions for their roadmap. Substrate's modularity and self-amending ledger capabilities appealed to Nodle's architects. Notably, Nodle indicated plans for a future bridge connecting Stellar and Arcadia, positioning it as the first of multiple interoperability projects between the networks. This follows Polymath's recent departure from Ethereum to Substrate over governance concerns.
