The Stellar Development Foundation has partnered with DEV Community to introduce web developers to blockchain technology through the Build Better on Stellar: Smart Contract Challenge. Running through August 18, the challenge invites developers to learn about decentralization, wallets, consensus, and interoperability while building with Soroban, Stellar's smart contract platform. Participants can submit dApps that leverage Stellar smart contracts, with prize categories including overall Build a dApp winner, Glorious Game (for top game dApp), and Super Sustainable (for dApps with real-world positive impact). The challenge offers a $50,000 prize pool and the grand prize includes a free trip to London to attend the Meridian Conference, marking the largest offering to date from the Stellar Development Foundation.
