Bitso, a leading Latin American exchange, is integrating Stellar USDC to offer cheaper and faster cross-border payments between the US and Mexico, benefiting its 2+ million users through reduced transaction costs and improved interoperability across the region.

Bitso, a major cryptocurrency exchange serving Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil, announced a partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation to integrate Stellar USDC as its bridge asset for US-Mexico remittances. The integration will lower transaction costs by replacing Bitcoin with Stellar USDC, accelerate transactions, and enable Bitso's 2+ million users to access cheaper USD to MXN payment rails. The partnership also increases interoperability with Stellar anchors and partner applications across Latin America, allowing fintechs and remittance companies to source liquidity and connect to local payment networks. This follows Liquid Group's similar partnership earlier in the year, expanding USDC adoption and advancing financial inclusion in emerging markets.
