Wirex partnered with the Stellar Development Foundation to publish primary research on cryptocurrency adoption based on surveys of their combined userbases. The 20-page report reveals that 74% of respondents view crypto payments as a viable alternative to traditional money transfer services, while only 25% have heard of stablecoins. The research challenges common misconceptions, showing 57% of respondents are aged 45 and over and 86% feel safe using crypto. The findings highlight consumer pain points with international transactions and opportunities for blockchain solutions. Wirex and Stellar plan to release follow-up articles and conduct additional research on other audiences.
