Pacto is a non-custodial, decentralized peer-to-peer exchange for Stellar-based stablecoins, built in 48 hours at the Casa Builder Hackathon using Trustless Work. It enables merchants and users to trade stablecoins for local fiat via on-chain smart escrow contracts without intermediaries. The open-source project supports community ramps, merchant off-ramps, and DAO payouts.

At the Casa Builder Hackathon, the team developed Pacto, a peer-to-peer exchange powered by Trustless Work's SDK, allowing seamless trading of Stellar-issued stablecoins with local fiat payments. Transactions use smart escrow where sellers lock assets, buyers upload payment proofs, sellers approve or dispute, and Pacto resolves issues—all defined via role-based APIs without custom smart contract coding. It's designed for merchants, communities, and DAOs to create branded ramps, earn fees, and onboard users securely. Compatible with any Stellar asset and fiat method, Pacto eliminates custody risks and was prototyped in under 48 hours. The open-source repo serves as a starter kit for builders to launch custom exchanges.
