OpenZeppelin and T-REX Network released ONCHAINID V3, a modular smart account for regulated assets. The architecture supports flexible signing methods, programmable recovery, and cross-chain identity while keeping compliance rules under issuer control. Stellar support is planned.

OpenZeppelin and T-REX Network have released ONCHAINID V3, a redesigned identity and account infrastructure for regulated finance. The new architecture treats identity as a modular smart account, combining ERC-734 (key management) and ERC-7579 (execution validation). Investors can now manage private keys through WebAuthn, RSA, or secp256r1 credentials (not just ECDSA), while social recovery works as an installable module with guardian controls. The compliance layer stays composable and under issuer control, evolving without requiring the identity to be rebuilt. The broader partnership also includes bringing ERC-3643 compliance standards into OpenZeppelin's audited contract library and expanding support to non-EVM chains, with Stellar targeted for native integration. A future roadmap includes fully homomorphic encryption via Zama to run regulatory checks on encrypted data without exposing identities or amounts.
