The Stellar Development Foundation premiered a new webinar series showcasing real-world Stellar use cases. The inaugural event featured Cowrie Integrated Systems, a fintech company that built payment rails enabling low-cost, instant transfers to Nigerian bank accounts using Stellar's network. SDF's Lisa Nestor provided an overview of Stellar's cross-border payment capabilities, while Cowrie's Technical Director Gbubemi Agbeyegbe detailed their technology stack. The session covered their 8-week Stellar integration using three developers, KYC processes via national identity documents, NGNT stablecoin pairs on the Stellar DEX with active market makers, and how users can deposit fiat directly or acquire NGNT through the decentralized exchange.
