Stellar Core v24.1.0 addresses a state archival issue that caused some Stellar Events to be omitted from ledger metadata between Protocol 23 and 24. Infrastructure operators running Galexie, Horizon, or RPC need to take specific remediation steps to ensure complete historical data, while consumers of Stellar Events should audit affected ledger keys.

The Whisk protocol release introduced Stellar Events (CAP-67) to track all token movements across the network, but a state archival bug caused some events to be omitted between Protocol 23 (ledger 58762517) and Protocol 24 (ledger 59501299). Stellar Core v24.1.0, released November 11, 2025, guarantees complete event history for new replays from genesis. However, operators already live during the issue missed these events. Remediation varies by infrastructure: Galexie operators should re-export affected ledgers using the new replace feature (approximately 80 hours); Horizon operators with specific event configurations should reingest history; RPC operators need not act due to 7-day retention. Consumers of Stellar Events should audit the affected ledger keys list and coordinate with their infrastructure providers for complete data recovery.
