Rethinking and Relaunching the Demo Wallet

The Stellar Development Foundation relaunched its demo wallet with a unified interface consolidating separate protocol testing tools. The redesigned wallet now supports multiple SEPs including deposits, withdrawals, cross-border payments, and regulated assets, serving both developers and non-technical users learning Stellar protocols.

Lumen Loop's take

The Stellar Development Foundation announced a major upgrade to its demo wallet, an open-source testing tool that lets users experience Stellar account creation, asset management, and transactions with explanatory logs and tooltips. Previously fragmented across separate repositories for different protocols, the wallet now consolidates all functionality into one codebase with an improved UI aligned with the new Stellar Design System. The redesigned wallet supports SEP-6, SEP-8, SEP-24, and SEP-31, serving both software engineers testing integrations on testnet and non-technical users learning how Stellar protocols work. The unified approach streamlines maintenance while making it easier for partners to build on the network.
