Lumen Loop's take

The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has expanded the Soroban Security Audit Bank, its initiative to provide comprehensive security audits and tooling for projects building on Soroban. Since launch, the program has successfully conducted over 40 audits and deployed more than $3 million to support smart contract security. For 2025, SDF restructured the program with several enhancements: projects now contribute only 5% of audit costs upfront with full refund eligibility if vulnerabilities are remediated within 20 business days; complimentary follow-up audits are available at critical traction milestones like $10M and $100M TVL; projects gain access to advanced security tooling for vulnerability detection and formal verification; and enhanced audit readiness support based on STRIDE threat modeling is provided. Teams funded through the Stellar Community Fund can request audits and typically be matched with reputable audit firms within two weeks. SDF is also organizing workshops on Soroban security best practices.
