Celsius Network announced a partnership with Lightyear.io to become a lending and borrowing partner for ICOs launching on the Stellar blockchain. The collaboration aims to provide Stellar-based projects with dollar access without forcing them to sell their crypto holdings. Celsius will integrate Stellar Lumens and other Stellar tokens into its Android and Apple wallet apps, allowing users to borrow dollars against crypto collateral. The platform also plans to offer interest-earning capabilities on Stellar token deposits later in 2018. The partnership aligns with both organizations' goals of expanding blockchain banking access globally.
