Stellar announced its 2025 developer roadmap and new strategy aimed at establishing the network as a major DeFi player and enterprise-friendly blockchain. The roadmap includes Lab 3.0 and its successor Lab 4.0, web-based development tools offering enhanced smart contract debugging, transaction simulation, and resource profiling. Additional H1 2025 features include Hosted Mode for enterprise activity, Freighter Wallet enhancements, CLI upgrades, and CDP 1.0. In H2 2025, Protocol 23 will introduce a major throughput boost to 5,000 TPS—exceeding competitors like Solana and BNB—alongside enterprise payment flows and Freighter authentication features for improved smart wallet security and single-use wallet creation for non-crypto-native audiences.
