What is this Support button?

Tansu, a Stellar dApp, introduces an on-chain 'Support' button for funding open source projects directly via Soroban Domains. This creates transparent, costless, and borderless funding using Stellar addresses and smart contracts. Future developments include DAO-based fund management through the SCF Build program.

Lumen Loop's take

Tansu has added a new 'Support' button that enables on-chain funding for open source projects, distinguishing it from traditional services like GitHub Sponsors or Buy Me a Coffee by sending funds directly to project-specific Stellar addresses. Upon project registration, Tansu automatically creates a Soroban Domain, providing a dedicated Stellar address for receiving donations. This setup ensures funding is fully transparent, practically costless, borderless, and enhanced by smart contracts. The feature marks the beginning of Tansu's vision for transparent fund management at the project level. Upcoming plans include the SCF Build program to introduce Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) for fairer governance.
