Tether unveiled Tether.wallet, a self-custodial digital wallet built on its open-source Wallet Development Kit, allowing users to hold and transfer USDT, USAT, and XAUT across Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Bitcoin. MoneyGram expanded its partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation to bring stablecoin balance services to El Salvador, following initial launch in Colombia, with plans for further Central and South American expansion. Rain and Lydian partnered to launch the Lydian Card, a co-branded Visa card supporting 300+ digital assets with conversion to fiat at 150M merchants. These moves reflect growing adoption of stablecoins and digital assets in payments infrastructure, though stablecoins currently represent only 0.02% of global payments volume.
