Anchorage Digital, an OCC-chartered bank, now provides institutional custody for Etherfuse's tokenized Mexican government debt (CETES) on Stellar. The partnership marks a major step in bringing government bonds to institutional balance sheets and establishes Stellar as a settlement layer for tokenized sovereign yield.

Etherfuse brings real Mexican Treasury debt (CETES) onchain as Stablebonds, tokenized yield-bearing instruments backed by actual government bonds. Anchorage Digital, the first federally regulated crypto bank in America, now provides institutional custody for these assets on Stellar. The partnership completes an infrastructure stack: Etherfuse handles tokenization and issuance, Stellar provides the settlement network, and Anchorage supplies institutional-grade custody. This signals OCC-level approval that tokenized sovereign yield belongs on institutional balance sheets; a significant endorsement for both Etherfuse and Stellar. The announcement deepens Stellar's footprint in Latin America, where Etherfuse already powers yield and settlement across Mexico. With institutional custody now available, tokenized government debt can move to broader institutional adoption.
