The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have formed a strategic partnership to leverage blockchain technology for sustainable development and financial inclusion. The collaboration will create scalable solutions using the Stellar network to enhance digital financial access, enable transparent cross-border transactions, and provide low-cost payment options for remittances, humanitarian aid, and cash transfer programs. The partnership will focus on empowering underserved populations through joint pilots, knowledge sharing, and capacity building in developing regions. SDF CEO Denelle Dixon emphasized that the partnership aligns with Stellar's mission to provide equitable access to the global financial system, while UNDP's Robert Pasicko highlighted the potential of blockchain to drive meaningful change in development and humanitarian sectors.
