Tether's USDT0 unified stablecoin went live on Stellar on September 2, connecting $180 billion in liquidity across 29 blockchains without bridges or wrapped tokens. Stellar's tokenized RWA total crossed $4 billion, with stablecoin payment volumes hitting a record $7.4 billion in August. Nuvanté Technologies demonstrated a stablecoin clearing prototype built on Stellar and tested in the Bank of England's RTGS RT2 Synchronisation Lab.

USDT0 and the Stablecoin Infrastructure Build-out

Tether and SDF jointly announced the launch of USDT0 on September 2. The asset uses LayerZero's OFT standard to maintain a single supply backed 1:1 by USDT across 29 networks. It is available immediately through Freighter, Lobstr, Kraken, SushiSwap, K2 Lend, and Fireblocks.

The day after launch, Aquarius opened the first USDT0/USDC stable pool on Stellar. SODAX powers cross-network execution of USDT0 alongside its other network integrations.

StellarOrg published "Why Regulated Finance Is Choosing Stellar" on September 3, tracing how DTCC, Circle, and WisdomTree each arrived at Stellar independently for different operational reasons: post-trade infrastructure, stablecoin issuance, and tokenized funds.

RWAs at $4 Billion and a Central Bank Proof-of-Concept

Stellar's RWA total crossed $4 billion, announced by StellarOrg on August 31. Euro-denominated assets from Spiko, Franklin Templeton, and Ondo led growth, per a September 2 article.

Nuvanté Technologies announced a stablecoin clearing prototype built on Stellar and tested in the Bank of England's RTGS RT2 Synchronisation Lab. The prototype demonstrates how fiat-backed stablecoins can be issued, redeemed, and exchanged through a neutral clearing layer in a central bank settlement environment.

Komainu added custody support for Figure's YLDS on Stellar: an SEC-registered yield-bearing security that institutional clients can hold as collateral while earning daily yield.

Privacy Protocols and Developer Infrastructure

SDF's newly formed Frontier Labs team demoed Who Ate Gerald? at the September 3 Stellar Developers Meeting: a social deduction game teaching confidential token transfer mechanics on testnet. OpenZeppelin built the Noir circuits and Soroban contract suite; Nethermind built the ultra-honk ZK verifier.

Stellar Private Payments, Nethermind's zero-knowledge privacy pool, remains live on testnet with web and Rust SDKs. The protocol hides depositor-to-withdrawer relationships via Groth16 ZK proofs, without fragmenting assets or requiring custodial bridges.

Normal Finance announced an iOS app bringing savings, investing, swapping, and diversification to everyday users, backed by Blend, DeFindex, Stripe, MoneyGram, and SDF.
