Stellar Weekly Roundup: Week of Oct 9, 2026
Chainlink Data Feeds went live on Stellar, Centrifuge tokenized NYLIM's high-yield corporate bond strategy as $HYB and $deHYB, and Stellar led all chains with $265.7M in new RWA value over 30 days. Blend published an update on V2's broken backstop and its migration options.

Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams went live on Stellar this week, and Centrifuge brought New York Life Investment Management's high-yield corporate bond strategy onchain as $HYB and $deHYB. Stellar led all chains in new RWA value over the last 30 days.
Centrifuge launched $HYB, a tokenized fund tracking NYLIM's actively managed U.S. high-yield corporate bond strategy, alongside $deHYB, a freely transferable version built to plug into lending, collateral, and fixed-rate markets on Stellar.
The network data backs up the momentum. Per rwa.xyz, RWA value on Stellar has grown from $300M to $3.54B since January 2025, led by Franklin Templeton's BENJI and WisdomTree. Stellar added $265.7M in RWA value over 30 days, the most of any chain, and RWA holders grew 15% to about 23,800 wallets. Spiko has issued $1.8B on Stellar, with eurSAFO accounting for $1.3B.
WisdomTree's Vin Tran detailed the firm's five-year trajectory in a Stellar Development Foundation interview: 15 tokenized funds, all SEC-regulated, with tokens representing actual shareholder interests. A new sandbox attracted more than 15 institutional clients in its first week, and WisdomTree Prime runs entirely on Stellar.
Oracle and Cross-Chain Infrastructure
The SDF announced Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams are live on Stellar, providing production-grade price feeds for lending markets, prediction markets, and derivatives across the network's $4B+ RWA ecosystem.
Reflector deployed a broad infrastructure upgrade covering transaction reliability, governance, security, and expanded price data sources, with new developer tooling included.
Willow added Stellar as its first non-EVM chain. A contract on Ethereum mainnet verified Willow's proof of 64 Stellar ledgers, covering 20,361 Soroban events and balance changes, so Ethereum contracts can now act on Stellar data trustlessly.
Axelar's "New Era" post named Stellar one of three priority institutional finance ecosystems after Common Prefix became lead steward, with a unified intents protocol and RFQ API for cross-chain transfers in development.
Three new commits to stellar-protocol advanced SEP-23 (muxed contract strkey for CAP-84), SEP-61 (Trustline Onboarder), and SEP-60 (wallet provider discovery). Two companion draft SEPs for Contract Verification Results and Contract Verification Aggregation entered discussion, proposing a standard so wallets, explorers, and the Stellar CLI can read any verifier's output through a single interface.
DeFi
AXIS, a smart contract limit order book from the StellarExpert team, launched on testnet as a Soroban-era rebuild of the Stellar DEX: no signup, no custody, no fees. A JS client, market data APIs, and open-source tools are available now, with mainnet planned within two weeks.
Blend published a state-of-the-protocol update covering V2, V2.1, and V3. Core V2 pools still work for supplying, borrowing, and liquidations, but the V2 backstop token (the Comet V1 BLND-USDC LP) is broken by an accounting bug, so interest and bad-debt auctions can't run. About $107K in backstop interest is stuck, growing roughly $1K a day, and any V2 bad debt would be written off against suppliers. Blend V2.1, built on the patched Comet V1.1 LP, is live on mainnet. The YieldBlox Security Council is weighing how to migrate BLND emissions: attempt interest recovery first, move to V2.1, or move to a new V3 receiver contract. V3 is in ideation, led by Zenith Protocols with Script3, with details expected at Meridian. There is no remediation update yet.
Spectra's Q3 report covered its Stellar deployment with order book infrastructure for fixed-term markets, including Coinbase Tokenized Stocks and treasury funds. Spectra markets on Stellar now accept XLM and USDC directly.
Payments and Privacy
Decaf documented its work with GiveDirectly after Venezuela's June 2026 earthquakes: $1.3M reached 3,765 families using USDC on Stellar, with 86% of donated funds arriving directly, more than 20 percentage points above typical humanitarian benchmarks. Median delivery time was two minutes with under 0.5% failure rate.
Owlting and Decaf launched OwlPay Harbor, enabling non-US companies to hold US dollar accounts through USDC on Stellar. Accounts fund via ACH and wire, with payments to US suppliers, employees, and international recipients over card, wire, and RTP, no US entity required.
Ligero, with SDF support, is building private stablecoin and XLM payments with built-in compliance controls for institutional use.
Builder Ecosystem
SCF Pilots announced the 2026 Stellar i³ Awards winners, one project per category, each awarded 100,000 XLM:
- Impact: Stellar Passport, where one QR scan gives event attendees a passkey-secured wallet with no seed phrase or app, then onchain stamps for every event, challenge, and rank they earn.
- Innovation: Tansu, which makes the open-source software supply chain verifiable. Projects record commits onchain, and maintainers approve each one together with its artifacts, like an SBOM or CVE scan.
- Interoperability: Reflector, decentralized price feeds for Stellar smart contracts, secured by a consensus of ecosystem organizations including Script3, CreitTech, PublicNode, and StellarExpert.
All finalists are listed at stellarlight.xyz/awards. Separately, 24 proposals are in for this quarter's Public Goods Award, with community discussion open.
SCF #46 is open through November 8 with up to $150,000 in XLM per project across Open, Integration, and RFP tracks.
A six-month retrospective on Stellar's Indonesia expansion documented 1,000 developers reached, more than 400 projects shipped, and 100-plus ambassadors trained across city hubs. Seven Vietnamese teams received October Instawards for tools covering treasury management, FX hedging, API infrastructure, tokenized assets, and testing.
