Nethermind on Building Private, Compliant Payments for Stellar

Nethermind's privacy engineering team discusses Stellar Private Payments (SPP), a privacy-pool implementation that lets users transact privately on Stellar while giving pool operators configurable compliance controls for regulators. The system works by allowing users to deposit into a shared pool, transact within it privately, and withdraw without publicly linking senders and receivers. Nethermind is building on-chain verifiers for deployed ZK proof systems (Noir and RISK-Zero) on Soroban, abstracting complexity through SDKs so developers can focus on features rather than underlying cryptography. Use cases span payroll, institutional payments, settlement, and DeFi.
