OpenZeppelin presents new Stellar smart contract libraries including a smart account framework for passkey-based authorization, an ERC-4626 compatible token vault, and real-world asset (RWA) contracts with identity and compliance modules.
At the Stellar Developer Meeting, OpenZeppelin developers Boyan and Özgün showcased three major additions to their Stellar Contracts Library. The smart account framework enables flexible, context-based authorization using passkeys, delegated signers, and external cryptographic keys, with support for up to 15 context rules per account. The token vault implements ERC-4626 standardization for yield-generating strategies with protection against inflation attacks via decimal offset. The RWA suite provides real-world asset tokenization with forced transfer, freezing, recovery mechanisms, identity verification via claims, and compliance hooks for pre and post-transfer business logic. All components are designed for composability and can be shared across multiple tokens.
