SDF held its Q1 2024 quarterly review webinar covering major milestones and strategic direction. Smart contracts went live on Stellar mainnet on March 19th after two years of development. Network metrics showed 8M+ accounts, $533M in real world asset supply, $1.6B in real world asset payment volume, and $4.9B total transaction volume with exceptionally low fees (0.000065 cents average). The Stellar Community Fund awarded $3.2M to 35 new and 28 existing projects. Three North Stars guide 2024 strategy: open participation and governance for sustainability, focus on everyday financial services through tokenization and ramps, and building trustworthy technology via audits and standards.
