The Stellar Development Foundation announced a complete rebrand, retiring the original cartoon rocket ship logo in favor of a new design created with design firm Kurppa Hosk. The new logo features two curved lines forming an 'S' shape with planetary resonance, designed to be versatile across contexts from app icons to billboards, work as a currency symbol for Stellar Lumens, and reflect the network's openness and friendly nature. The rebrand also includes a modernized wordmark, new color palette, and three main logo variations. The official launch is scheduled for May 2019 with the stellar.org redesign, though the new identity is being used in new projects immediately.
