Lumen Loop's take

The Stellar Development Foundation launched a challenge inviting builders worldwide to propose solutions to real-world problems using the Stellar network. With submissions from over 20 countries addressing issues like inflation protection in Argentina, cross-border payments in Kenya, and simplified merchant payments in California, the foundation selected 11 winners and highlighted three top ideas: The Crypto Oracle's crowdfunded scholarship and peer-to-peer student loan platform for global education access, José Toscano's biometric smart wallet leveraging passkeys for seamless crypto payments, and eight additional finalists tackling problems in tax management, real estate tokenization, blockchain archiving, carbon credits, e-commerce, public services, credit history, AI agents, donations, and film festivals. The foundation plans to host a virtual hackathon with the Stellar ecosystem to help winners execute their ideas into reality.
