The Stellar Development Foundation launched Hubble, a BigQuery-based analytics dataset offering complete historical records of the Stellar blockchain. Hubble enables complex data analysis without maintaining full history databases, supporting large-scale computing and historical applications previously difficult to implement.

The Stellar Development Foundation introduced Hubble, an open-source BigQuery dataset providing comprehensive historical data from the Stellar blockchain. Hubble stores two types of data: transactional event data and ledger state snapshots for every historical ledger, enabling replay and simulation at any point in time. The dataset updates every 30 minutes and is accessible via BigQuery UI or API client libraries. Unlike Horizon, which only returns recent fee stats, Hubble allows analysis across 46 million ledgers. The article demonstrates practical use cases including account transaction history retrieval, network fee surge analysis showing 60% of ledgers experienced surge pricing between March-June 2023, and comprehensive asset analysis tracking XLM distribution and liquidity pool holdings. Soroban support is planned for later in 2023.
