Bitwage, a payroll platform for remote workers, integrated USD Coin (USDC) on Stellar to enable near-zero transaction fees for salary payments. The integration helps workers in Latin America and beyond receive wages faster and cheaper while reducing employer overhead.

Bitwage, which serves over 50,000 customers and processes $80 million USD annually, announced integration of USDC on Stellar to its platform. The move enables remote workers and contractors to receive salaries with near-zero transaction costs, addressing pain points in cross-border payments. Over 30% of Bitwage's transaction volume is already in USDC. By leveraging Stellar's speed and low fees, the platform reduces overhead for employers paying remote workforces globally, particularly in Latin America and the Philippines, while giving workers flexibility to receive payment in their preferred currency or digital asset.
