Five winning projects were selected, including DeFindexes, Global Rupee, RampMeDaddy, Punch Starter, and Lumen Finance, each addressing financial inclusion and DeFi accessibility.

The Stellar Development Foundation participated in the Consensus X EasyA 2024 Hackathon (May 29-31 in Austin, Texas) with a dedicated Cash-to-DeFi challenge track designed to showcase Stellar's unique ability to connect global cash on/off-ramps with smart contract protocols. The SDF provided scholarships to international developers from communities like Rise.in (India), Palta Labs (Chile), and universities including Waterloo and Boston University. Five standout projects won prizes: DeFindexes (first place, $20k) enables wallet providers to offer diversified DeFi savings accounts via Soroban; Global Rupee (second, $10k) connects India's E-INR CBDC to global markets; RampMeDaddy (third, $7k) simplifies fiat-to-crypto conversion via Telegram; Punch Starter (fourth, $5k) is a DAO-governed crowdfunding platform; and Lumen Finance (fifth, $3k) provides invoice financing for SMEs. Winners are encouraged to apply to the Stellar Community Fund Kickstart or Awards programs.
