Coinme, a leading U.S. cryptocurrency cash exchange, partnered with Circle to integrate USD Coin (USDC) into its global cash onramp and offramp network. The integration leverages the Stellar network for near-zero transaction fees and instant settlement, enabling peer-to-peer USDC transfers via the Coinme app. The service will be available at thousands of Coinme-enabled locations across the U.S. and Latin America, providing financial access to 79 million unbanked Americans and 70% of underbanked Latin Americans. Free P2P transactions and convenient cash pickup locations make USDC accessible to the general public. Rollout began in June 2022, with expansion planned throughout Latin America.
