The Stellar Development Foundation and DFS Lab concluded the first SCF Kickstart cohort of 2023, a 5-day intensive bootcamp that supported 30 emerging Web3 startups in defining use cases on Stellar and Soroban. The program featured 34 mentors spanning two time zones who guided participants through design sprints. A selection panel identified ten finalists and three winners: CashAbroad (first place, $15,000 XLM) for cross-border payments in LATAM, Ripe (second, $10,000 XLM) for crypto off-ramps in the Philippines, and uils (third, $5,000 XLM) for lending infrastructure for gig workers. Winning teams can now apply for additional awards through the Stellar Community Fund to scale their projects.
