Stellar Expert announced the deployment of two additional validators in 2019, complementing an existing node to create a three-member fault-tolerant quorum set. Each validator includes open history archives and is configured for redundant fail-over support. The deployment came during a transformative period of network decentralization, with the number of tier-one validators growing roughly five-fold that year as organizations across the ecosystem strengthened network security and independence from early dependence on the Stellar Development Foundation's operations.
