MoneyGram announced plans to launch a noncustodial cryptocurrency wallet built on the Stellar network by Q1 2024, designed by Cheesecake Labs. The wallet will offer zero fees until June 2024 and integrate with MoneyGram's existing fiat on- and off-ramps on Stellar. Users will benefit from MoneyGram's global network of 350,000 payment locations and ATMs, enabling easy cash conversions in over 180 countries and digital asset purchases in 30+ countries. The wallet will support USDC transfers between users and plans to expand with additional capabilities and features post-launch. This builds on MoneyGram's partnership with the Stellar Development Foundation since October 2021.
