MoneyGram revealed plans to launch a non-custodial digital wallet on the Stellar network in Q1 2024, announced at the SDF Meridian conference. The wallet enables seamless conversion between fiat and stablecoins, with users able to cash out at participating MoneyGram locations in 180+ countries and send digital assets peer-to-peer. Built by Cheesecake Labs, the wallet integrates MoneyGram's global compliance screening and existing fiat on/off-ramp services. MoneyGram will offer the wallet fee-free until June 2024. The company has already expanded its fiat on/off-ramp service to eight digital wallets on Stellar since 2022.
