Lumen Loop's take

The Stellar Protocol 19 upgrade vote is scheduled for June 8, 2022 at 1500 UTC, with testnet upgrading on May 9. All node operators running Stellar Core and Horizon must upgrade to v19.1.0 and v2.18.0 respectively, or risk immediate errors and loss of sync when the network upgrades. Developers using Stellar SDKs across multiple languages (JavaScript, Java, Go, Python, iOS, C#, Flutter, Ruby) must install minimum required versions to support Protocol 19's new transaction preconditions and signature types. The upgrade implements CAP-21 and CAP-40, which enable payment channels and bridging solutions. Horizon operators should also review quorum set configurations and note that v2.18.0 includes a database migration for new account extensions and transaction preconditions.
